Thank you for registering to join us on the lot outside IBEW Local 1 (5850 Elizabeth Ave) on September 24 for a safe, socially distant opportunity to gather under the stars in support of accessible early-childhood education and care for St. Louis-area families.
This community event will feature a screening of the family-friendly movie Hocus Pocus alongside online raffles, a virtual auction, munchies, and more. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. We will have captions for our Deaf and hard of hearing guests.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES:
The IBEW parking lot normally has capacity for 324 vehicles; we will be reducing capacity to 148 vehicles. For safety and visibility reasons, each group will have a space to park their car in the designated parking area and an additional private 8x18 space in the designated viewing area on the opposite side of the lot to set up lawn chairs from which to watch the movie.
Anywhere that there are normally lines or money would be exchanged will also have social distancing measures in place. Attendees must wear masks and maintain 6 feet of social distance when outside their designated space.
Please direct any questions or concerns to Dani at [email protected].
ADDITIONAL ITEMS TO NOTE:
- The lot will open to guests at 6 p.m., and the show will start promptly at 7. Please arrive before 7 if possible to allow time for parking and setting up. There will be a brief intermission and the show will end at approximately 9:20 p.m.
- Be sure to bring a mask so that it can be worn whenever you leave your designated seating space. We want to follow best practices as recommended by the CDC. If you forget your mask, there will be masks available for purchase.
- Please bring lawn chairs for seating. For visibility purposes, cars will be parked in a designated area separate from the movie screening space. Each GA party will have their own 8x18 foot parking space in the screening area to set up chairs; sponsors will also receive additional space. If you don't have chairs, or forget them, we will have some available for you to borrow the night of the event.
- You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. Limited snack items including Spooky Snack Packs and water bottles will also be available for purchase.
- At the event, online payments through spooktacular.givesmart.com and Venmo (@CornerstoneCenterSTL) are preferred forms of payment in order to reduce contact transaction. If you do plan to use cash, please be aware that we will not be able to offer change.
